Tricho
Soil improversAccelerate decomposition of post-harvest residues
Trichoderma spp. fungi in Agrosonic Tricho are an effective replacement of nitrogen used to accelerate straw decomposition.
Advantages of Tricho
- The product accelerates straw mineralisation, increasing quantities of nutrients available in the soil, so it can effectively replace nitrogen commonly applied onto post-harvest residues.
- By increasing humus content in the soil, it effectively influences its fertility, structure, and increased sorption capacity.
- It promotes growth of plants and protects them against stressful agents, and this translates into winter hardiness of crops, and their resistance to drought and improved health.
- Trichoderma spp. fungi in the formulation also thrive in soils with unadjusted pH.
- The product can be used in conventional and organic agriculture.
Composition
- Spores of three Trichoderma spp. strains at the total level of 2×109 CFU per one gram of the product.
About Tricho
It pays off!
Are you looking for savings in your farm? The use of a formulation based on Trichoderma spp. strains improves the quality of a habitat, thus contributing to plant health and a reduction in expenditures on plant protection products. When nitrogen is replaced with Tricho, cultivation costs can be reduced even by over PLN 200 per hectare.
How and when to use Tricho?
Crops
Crop | Treatment date | Dose [g/ha] |
---|---|---|
Cereals | Apply onto post-harvest residues after harvesting all crop plants – on shredded straw, stubble, etc. | 200 |
Rape | ||
Maize |
Recommended quantity of water for working solution: 200-300 L/ha.
How do Trichoderma fungi act?
During their development, Trichoderma fungi, belonging to decomposers, decompose organic matter left after harvesting of crop plants. This way, they supply soil with additional nutrients in forms assimilated by plants and contribute to improvement in soil fertility.
These organisms demonstrate a phytosanitary effect by:
- competing with pathogenic microorganisms for nutrients and space for growth;
- producing a range of natural antibiotics with a selective effect that cause changes in cell structures and metabolism in other microorganisms, disrupting their growth and proliferation;
- their ability for mycoparasitism, i.e., feeding on a mycelium of other fungal microorganisms, by growing on it and producing lytic enzymes;
- inducing natural immunity of plants, by supplying them with a range of organic substances acting as growth and development controllers.
